📚 Business Spotlight — Next Chapter Leduc

I had the chance to stop into Next Chapter Books on Friday and honestly loved the atmosphere the moment I walked in.

The downtown Leduc bookstore is owned by mother-daughter team Bree and Tara, and you can really feel the heart behind what they’re building.

The shop officially opened May 1 and carries both new and gently used books, including plenty of BookTok favourites. Around 80% of the inventory is gently used, with 20% new titles, which gives the whole store a cozy and welcoming feel.

Local pickup is free and Canada-wide shipping is available.

Really great people and a really great addition to downtown Leduc.

☕ Business Spotlight — Pastry Heaven & Coffee Shop

Pastry Heaven & Coffee Shop has one of those stories you just love hearing about in a local community.

Owner Khatuna spent years baking homemade cream rolls and selling them through Facebook Marketplace before finally opening her storefront in Leduc.

Now she’s serving fresh baking, locally sourced coffee from Dark Kiss Coffee, and locally sourced tea right inside City Centre Mall.

It’s the kind of local success story that reminds you how many passionate small business owners are quietly building something special in our community.

🚒 Looking Ahead — FireFit

FireFit is coming to Leduc on June 5.

Hosted by the Leduc Guard of Honour and sponsored by the City of Leduc, the event brings high-energy firefighter competitions and community fun to the city.

There will also be a civilian participation night on June 5 for anyone wanting to test themselves and get involved.

Definitely one to keep on your radar heading into June.
